Year 5 and Year 6 at Holy Family enjoyed an inspiring and educational visit to Hopetown, Darlington, where they took part in the exciting Destination STEM event. The day provided pupils with the opportunity to explore a wide range of hands‑on activities linked to Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).

From problem‑solving challenges to creative experiments, the event encouraged teamwork, curiosity, and critical thinking. Pupils were able to see how STEM subjects connect to real‑world careers and innovations, helping them understand the importance of these skills for the future.

This memorable experience not only strengthened pupils’ knowledge of STEM but also inspired them to think about how science and technology shape the world around us.
