Gardening Day at Holy Family
Everyone at Holy Family had a fantastic time taking part in our whole-school Gardening Day yesterday! It was wonderful to see every class getting involved and working together to make our outdoor spaces even more beautiful. Throughout the day, pupils rolled up their sleeves to weed beds, plant new flowers, and water the gardens, helping to brighten up our already wonderful surroundings. Their enthusiasm and teamwork truly brought the school grounds to life.

A huge well done to all of our Year 6 children for completing their SATs this week! 📝⏳ Throughout the week, they have shown fantastic resilience and determination, approaching each challenge with positivity and focus. We are incredibly proud of the effort they have put in and the way they have supported one another every step of the way. Their hard work and encouragement towards each other has truly been wonderful to see.Â
STEM Fun at Holy Family: Inspiring Our Future Engineers
This week, our Year 5 pupils at Holy Family had an exciting opportunity to take part in a hands-on STEM event—and what a fantastic experience it was! Throughout the day, the children immersed themselves in a variety of engaging activities designed around Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). From creative problem-solving challenges to practical experiments, every activity encouraged curiosity, teamwork and innovation.

Year 5 Trip to Eden Camp!
Today, our Year 5 pupils are heading to Eden Camp Modern History Museum for an exciting day of immersive learning and exploration. Eden Camp, located in North Yorkshire, is a unique museum set within the buildings of an original Second World War prisoner‑of‑war camp. It brings history to life through interactive displays, recreated scenes, and real artefacts from the 20th century.
Football Fun at Holy Family
Well done to our fantastic Holy Family football team who took part in a brilliant sporting event this week, joining pupils from 18 other Darlington schools. Our children played with determination, enthusiasm and a wonderful sense of teamwork, representing our school with pride throughout the day.
Celebrating World Book Day at Holy Family!
World Book Day is always a highlight in our school calendar, and this year was no exception! Our theme for 2026 was “Future Me”—a wonderful opportunity for children to explore their dreams and imagine who they might become as adults.

Year 4 Shine at Tennis Event at the Dolphin Centre!
This week, a group of our enthusiastic Year 4 pupils took part in an exciting tennis event at the Dolphin Centre, joining children from schools across Darlington. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to get active, meet new friends, and develop their sporting skills.
