Reception Class and Nursery at Holy Family were delighted to welcome Sergeant Vardy and PCSO Parker from Darlington Police for a very special visit. The officers spoke to the children about the important role the police play in keeping communities safe and explained how they help people every day.
The pupils were thrilled to try on parts of the police uniform, sparking plenty of excitement and curiosity. They asked thoughtful questions, gaining a better understanding of how officers work to protect and support the public.
To finish the visit, children took part in their own police‑themed activities, which encouraged imaginative play and helped them explore what they had learned in a fun and creative way. The experience gave Reception and Nursery a memorable insight into the world of policing and community service.
