Year 1 had a wonderful time learning outdoors this week as they took part in an exciting den building activity in the sunshine!

The children have recently started their new class text, The Rabbit Problem by Emily Gravett, and were inspired by the story to put their creativity and teamwork skills to the test. With the book in mind, they headed outside to design and build a cosy, safe den perfectly suited for a rabbit.

Using natural materials and lots of imagination, the children worked brilliantly together, discussing ideas, solving problems, and supporting one another as their den took shape. It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm, collaboration, and joy in their learning.

A brilliant example of how stories can spark curiosity and creativity — fantastic work, Year 1!
