This week, our Year 5 pupils at Holy Family had an exciting opportunity to take part in a hands-on STEM event—and what a fantastic experience it was!

Throughout the day, the children immersed themselves in a variety of engaging activities designed around Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). From creative problem-solving challenges to practical experiments, every activity encouraged curiosity, teamwork and innovation.

The event provided a wonderful chance for pupils to explore real-world applications of STEM subjects in a fun and interactive way. Whether they were building, experimenting or designing, the children demonstrated fantastic enthusiasm and creativity at every stage.

It was clear to see that the experience sparked a genuine excitement for learning, with many pupils showing a natural flair for engineering and scientific thinking. We’re incredibly proud of their efforts and the positive attitude they brought to the day.

At Holy Family, we are passionate about providing opportunities that inspire our pupils and broaden their horizons—and this STEM event certainly did just that. Who knows? We may have some future engineers, scientists and innovators in our Year 5 class!
